With spring finally here the hot weather brings more opportunities for outdoor advertising. Summertime not only sees more people outside, more of the time, but also people linger longer in outdoor locations, are in less of a hurry, which increases dwell time on outdoor screens and makes outdoor advertising even more beneficial.

Asus Eee PC 1005PEB Netbook – Minimalist Elegance

Going for the rounded look with a scalloped lid, the Asus Eee PC 1005PEB definitely looks cool with burnt ochre to burgundy colored lid. While the design is nice and solid, the color alone is enough to set it apart from other netbooks of the same class. The netbook retains many of the design aspects that make the Asus Eee PC lineup so successful including rounded corners and a slightly tapered lid.

The Asus Eee PC 1005PEB’s keyboard is a bit different with flatter topped keys but the keyboard retains the same look and feel as other Asus Eee PCs. This means that it is definitely comfortable to use, however the right shift key did feel a little off as we ended up pressing the up directional key more often than not. The track-pad was responsive though with raised dots on the surface for a more tactile feel to it.

Specification-wise the Asus Eee PC 1005PEB is powered by an Intel N450 processor that also means that it uses an Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics solution. While it has a standard 1GB worth of DDR2 memory it changes the formula somewhat with a larger 250GB hard disk drive and a Windows 7 Starter operating system. The netbook offers a 10.1-inch LED screen with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution along with a new six-cell li-ion battery. Read the rest of this entry »

Clean Vista Registry – How To Do It

To get a clean Vista registry it can take a lot of time and education, if you choose to do it yourself. However, there are some general Vista problems that can be solved quite simply by using REGEDIT.

One of the Windows Vista problems I have heard many people complain about, and have experienced myself, is as follows. You have a zip file that you want to open. You right-click on the file and click Open, or you double-click on the file. The file should open, right? Not always, it seems, in Windows Vista. Suddenly it appears as though your Windows Vista PC has been taken over by aliens. The screen starts flashing uncontrollably and it is impossible to continue using the PC. The only solution is to shut down and restart your PC.

There seems to be an issue with Vista (whether it is system-wide or easily user generated) where file associations change. Somehow the registry becomes a little corrupt and assigns the Internet Explorer exe to certain file types (like zip files). So, every time you try and open that zip file, Windows Vista attempts to open it with Internet Explorer, causing a browser window to continually flash on the screen in an endless loop. Increase Safety And Visibility With A Reversing Camera

If you drive a large vehicle or your car has a small rear window then you might find it difficult to see everything behind you when you are reversing or parking. This can be a real hassle as you might damage your vehicle by bumping into something or another car while trying to get into a tight parking space. However by using a reversing camera you will be able to see everything to the rear of your car which will make parking much easier and safer.

The system uses a camera mounted on the rear of the vehicle to relay the image to a screen that is mounted inside. This provides a clear and practical solution as it shows potential dangers and obstructions that are not visible when using the rear view mirrors, and it also makes judging the distance of objects easier.

There are many types of cameras available and they can be installed in the bodywork of the car, or attached to the bumper for example to provide a clear view of the rear of the vehicle. The camera is connected to a screen inside the car where the image is displayed. The screens are usually small LCD screens that can easily be attached to the dashboard of your vehicle by using a bracket or mount and they can even be connected to the gearbox to automatically switch on when you choose the reverse gear. There are also screens available that are incorporated into the rear view mirror which makes them easy to view. You can also choose a wireless camera which makes installation even easier as you won’t have to connect it to the screen inside with a cable. Some of the cameras also feature a night vision or light function which makes parking at night in the dark much easier. Read the rest of this entry »
